The challenges of flat roofs
A flat roof is not just defined by its missing or very small pitch of below 10 degrees. All roofs that require waterproofing are known as
flat roofs. These include vaulted cupola roofs, sawtooth roofs, prefabricated trapezoidal folded plate roofs, butterfly roofs and hyperbolic paraboloid (hp) shell roofs.
Materials with varying expansion coefficients, permanent temperature changes and environmental factors – the requirements placed on safe waterproofing are extremely high. The liquid applied protective coating KEMPEROL also provides the building fabric with long-term protection against water damage even in the harshest of conditions.
